Meet the team
Mitch Raven
Physiotherapist
Mitch lives locally in Lighthouse beach, and having grown up on the coast, he became a keen surfer and is into his CrossFit. Mitch studied Physiotherapy at CSU in Orange, where he learnt the demands of returning to an active lifestyle following injury.
After doing a placement with Mid North Coast Allied Health during his last year, he had the opportunity to work alongside a team that he connected with and found supportive. He also liked the hands-on approach with progressive exercises. It was from this that he made the decision to move to Port Macquarie to join the team!
What do you love most about your job/industry?
I love my job because I get to build strong connection with the patient and create a supportive environment throughout their rehabilitation journey. Physiotherapy excites me because I get to discover what the human body is capable of achieving physically and enjoys using objective testing to guide rehabilitation.
Areas of interest?
In my role as a physiotherapist, I want to continue developing my skills in the shoulder, the lower back, and management through a holistic approach. Outside of work my interests are Surfing, CrossFit, touch football, tennis and Birdwatching.
Your top tip
