I grew up in a small suburb in Western Australia before moving to Sydney after joining the Navy at 17. I met my wife while in Sydney and we have 2 beautiful kids. Wanting them to experience the benefits of growing up in a small community rather than a big city I decided to leave the Navy, studied physio at Sydney University before moving to Lake Cathie in 2014.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to know my patients during the course of their treatment and the satisfaction of seeing them reach their goals.
Areas of interest?
Whilst having a broad knowledge is needed in this job, I do enjoy working on vestibular conditions such as vertigo.
Your top tip
The happiest people are the ones who are learning. So I encourage you to learn something new. A language, an instrument, how to grow chilli (doesn’t matter what it is, just make sure you’re enjoying it).
People would be surprised if they knew…
I am really bad when it comes to knowing where I parked my car so just look for the car the same colour as mine when in a car park. I have tried to open other people’s cars easily over 100 times.
