Meet the team

Megan Purkiss

Megan was born and raised in Singleton in the Hunter Valley. She moved to Newcastle to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Newcastle before making the permanent move to beautiful Port Macquarie.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping people achieve their goals and seeing the joy on someone’s face when they
accomplish something that they didn’t think was possible.

Area of interest

I love working with babies and children with developmental delay and physical or
neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy and Trisomy 21.

Your top tip

Just keep moving – anything is better than nothing!

People would be surprised if they knew…

I have played the violin in the Sydney Opera House.
