What do you love most about your job?
It feels incredibly rewarding to work with a people and help guide them along their rehabilitation journey.
I find that by enabling someone to reach a personal goal or experience something new I get to share a unique experience with them and become a part of something larger than just a physical rehab journey.
Areas of interest?
I find that I really enjoy working with younger athletes and children. I feel that by being able to have a meaningful impact on someone at a younger age is able to enhance their outcomes and create a positive direction for their future.
I also really enjoy working with sport and gym based injury, especially in water based sports.
Your top tip
Make your Physio and exercise fun !
Find ways to work in things you enjoy into your therapy time or reward yourself after you accomplished a task.
People would be surprised if they knew…
I had a spinal injury when I was 16 and spent a large amount of time in a neck brace. It meant that I couldn’t do all my usual outdoor hobbies and I picked up PC gaming, as well as building and programming them as a way to pass time and keep social with my friends.
